showing signs of spring
harumeku.net, well I'm restating the welcome message, is Saku's domain given to her by the fawesome and lovely Shukaku ♥ on August 31st, 2009. The official opening of the site was December of 2009 as a Christmas gift to all my visitors, since I knew many of them wanted this place to open. Having a domain name is very great because then my site URLs are no longer super long~ I'm all about the pretty. Also, it's just feels just so much more personal!
Harumeku in Japanese is 
which is a verb for "to become spring-like" or "to show signs of spring". I mainly chosed it because it sounded ridiculously cute and I wanted a .NET domain but almost everything I could think of was taken. Plus, cute > cool, in my opinion. My original list contained Pokemon and violent words translated into Japanese. Those words cannot be repeated cutely. I mean, seriously, you can say Haruharumeku and it doesn't sound weird! Also, Harumeku isn't one of those words you can say that much differently differently (eg. zenigame as zen-i-gayme rather than zen-i-gah-meh)
